2013 Girls' Golf Team Information

SEASON BEGINS AUGUST 6TH
NO EXPERIENCE (OR EVEN CLUBS) NECESSARY:  WE ARE LOOKING FOR ANY GIRLS WHO WANT TO LEARN THE GAME OF GOLF AND BE A PART OF A TEAM. 

NO TRYOUTS: EVERYONE IS WELCOME.  THERE ARE NO CUTS SO IF YOU WANT TO BE ON THE TEAM AND ARE WILLING TO LEARN YOU WILL GET TO PLAY.  IF YOU PLAY A WINTER OR SPRING SPORT, BEING ON THE GOLF TEAM IS A GREAT WAY TO ROUND OUT YOUR YEAR

INEXPENSIVE: YOUR ONLY EXPENSE IS THE NORMAL PAY TO PLAY FEE.  ALL GREENS FEES, PRACTICE ROUNDS, RANGE BALLS, TOURNAMENT FEES ARE ALL PAID FOR BY THE TEAM.  ALSO WE HAVE CLUBS TO USE SO NO NEED TO BUY CLUBS.

FLEXIBLE:  YOU CAN BE ON THE TEAM AND STILL BE IN THE MARCHING BAND, PERFORM IN THE FALL MUSICAL, HAVE A JOB, OR NEED TIME OFF FOR YOUR OTHER SPORTS.  AS LONG AS WE HAVE ENOUGH PLAYERS TO FILL OUT THE LINEUP I WILL WORK AROUND YOUR SCHEDULE.

PLAY GREAT COURSES FOR FREE:   IN THE PAST 6 YEARS WE HAVE PLAYED COLDSTREAM COUNTRY CLUB, CAMARGO COUNTRY CLUB, WALDEN PONDS GOLF CLUB, TERRACE PARK COUNTRY CLUB, STONELICK HILLS GOLF CLUB, THE VINEYARD AS WELL AS MANY OTHER AREA COURSES.

MONEY FOR COLLEGE: EACH YEAR THE GREATER CINCINNATI WOMEN'S GOLF ASSOCIATION (GCWGA) AWARDS SCHOLARSHIPS TO AREA FEMALE GOLFERS.  LAST YEAR ONE OF MY GOLFERS WAS AWARDED $2000 AND THIS YEAR ANOTHER HAS APPLIED.

Anderson High School is a comprehensive high school, offering a wide range of courses and programs. While the majority of students are enrolled in college preparatory courses of study, students are also able to pursue specialized vocational programs at the career development campuses of the Great Oaks Joint Vocational District.

FOREST HILLS SCHOOLS

The Forest Hills School District is a comprehensive preschool through 12th-grade school district located in the southeastern suburbs of Cincinnati. The district serves nearly 7,800 students living in the communities of Anderson Township and the Village of Newtown with a combined population of about 45,000.

THE ECC

The Eastern Cincinnati Conference will begin play with the 2012-13 school year. The ECC will be comprised of Anderson, Glen Este, Kings, Loveland, Milford, Turpin and Walnut Hills High Schools. The ECC is dedicated to promoting interscholastic activities as an integral part of the total educational process providing opportunities for both boys and girls to compete at the highest athletic levels while stressing integrity, sportsmanship, respect and team work.
