AHS 2013 Wrestling Season Highlights

King of Hill Team Champions for the 5th consecutive year; that's the first time in the history of the event that one school has won it five times in a row.
ECC Championship – 3rd place.
Two wrestlers qualified for the OHSAA District Championship: Conor Brockman & AJ Penley.
Conor Brockman got his 100th career victory and finished his career with 105 varsity wins.
David Wise broke the school record for single season three-point near falls.
Conor Brockman, Ryan Campbell, AJ Penley, & David Wise named 2nd Team ECC.
ECC Academic Award winners:   Conor Brockman, Grant Gallagher, Andrew Merchant, AJ Penley, & David Wise.

Anderson Captures 5th Straight Wrestling King of the Hill!

Anderson 's wrestling team captured their 5th consecutive King of the Hill
Championship.  It is the first time in the event's 33 year history that a
team has captured the title five years in a row.  Anderson won nine out of
the fourteen weight classes.  Individual King of the Hill Champions from
Anderson include:  Andrew Merchant (106); Nolan Slagle (113); David Hurd
(120); Conor Brockman (126); Ryan Campbell (138); AJ Penley (160); David
Wise (170); Josh Kollmann (220); and Joe Farrell (285)

Anderson High School is a comprehensive high school, offering a wide range of courses and programs. While the majority of students are enrolled in college preparatory courses of study, students are also able to pursue specialized vocational programs at the career development campuses of the Great Oaks Joint Vocational District.

FOREST HILLS SCHOOLS

The Forest Hills School District is a comprehensive preschool through 12th-grade school district located in the southeastern suburbs of Cincinnati. The district serves nearly 7,800 students living in the communities of Anderson Township and the Village of Newtown with a combined population of about 45,000.

THE ECC

The Eastern Cincinnati Conference will begin play with the 2012-13 school year. The ECC will be comprised of Anderson, Glen Este, Kings, Loveland, Milford, Turpin and Walnut Hills High Schools. The ECC is dedicated to promoting interscholastic activities as an integral part of the total educational process providing opportunities for both boys and girls to compete at the highest athletic levels while stressing integrity, sportsmanship, respect and team work.
